Hi I’m Mandy and I run the kennels at Happy Houndz. I moved here in October 2009 with my mum. Since then we have renovated the kennels and are about to do it again in 2016/2017. I used to live in a small village called Silverdale in Lancashire and always wanted to work with animals.
I hold a Diploma in Animal Behaviour (Distinction) and Canine Studies (Distinction) and was a Member of the Institute for Animal Care Education for ten years. I also fulfilled my warden duties at the Highland Wildlife Park in Kincraig in the Highlands of Scotland. In addition I hold NCFE level 2 in Infection Control, COSSH, Health & Safety Awareness. and was a member of The Royal Society For the Promotion of Health for seven years, and have regularly undertaken Fire Awareness Training Courses. In addition I have taught Canine Behaviour at Lancaster & Morecambe Adult Collage and hold a certificate in Planning & Designing for Learning.
I have to mention my special thanks to Margaret, my mum, and thank her very much for her support in running the kennels.
